Bicycle Shop

Top Quality Repair

We believe bicycles are an important tool for the empowerment of our community and our growth as a sustainable neighborhood. It doesn't matter to us if you bought your bike here, at another shop, or it was handed down to you from a previous generation. New mountain bikes, old cruisers, those that cost thousands and those that were found. Every bike that hangs in our stand gets the same attention to detail and thorough effort.

Schedule Appointment

Our repair stand stays pretty full so if you need emergency service we are happy to work by appointment.

It is clear that they love what they do. Very genuine people, and wonderful service.

Most personable bike shop I have ever been in... I was in the shop for 20 minutes and the laid back over the top zen bike shop vibe took over. The coffee was much better than you’d expect of a bike shop... The assortment of gear crammed into the showroom floor puts other shops with twice the square footage to shame. It is overwhelming and awesome!

Local and friendly. Repaired my bike and offered advice. I feel like they love what they do!

Buckskin Bikes has very knowledgeable and friendly staff along with fantastic artisan coffee. If you need bike parts or any sort of work done on your bicycle this place is worth the trip

About Us

non-profit origins.

Buckskin Bikes began as the Shadeland Bicycle Collective in 2008. We originally formed as a non-profit focused on bicycle advocacy, education, and repair but we quickly discovered the lack of quality bicycle retail and service in our area. We decided in 2012 to transition to a more standard for-profit business and have realized that small business is a very powerful way to help enact social change. We have continued and formalized our advocacy efforts along side our traditional business model.
